I took a photo today trying to slip into a shoe, and it made me think about careers.

Many of us are secretly searching for the Cinderella job.
The perfect role.
The perfect boss.
The perfect environment where everything just fits.
The job where you wake up energized and every Monday feels like a celebration.
But here is the truth most professionals discover with time.
Most careers are not Cinderella shoes.
They are more like work boots.
You grow into them.
You stretch them.
You walk through uncomfortable terrain before they start to feel right.
The question is not really “Will this job fit me perfectly?”
The real question is:
“Who am I becoming while doing this work?”
Because fulfillment rarely comes from a perfect fit.
It comes from growth, purpose, and ownership.
And that is the heart of the Thank God It’s Monday Again mindset.
It’s not about loving every task.
It’s about waking up knowing:
✔ Your work matters
✔ You are learning
✔ You are becoming stronger
But let me be clear about something.
There is a difference between a job that stretches you and a workplace that breaks you.
Growth can be uncomfortable.
Toxicity is destructive.
One builds you.
The other diminishes you.
So don’t spend your life endlessly trying on shoes hoping one will magically fit.
Sometimes the job you have today is simply the training ground for the person you are becoming tomorrow.
And one day, you won’t just find a shoe that fits.
You will build your own path to walk in.
Let’s go.
